Colorado bluebird skies and powder skiing…

CBMG Owner JSJ out from behind the desk

We are deep in the midst of our standard January thaw here in Crested Butte, with beautiful Colorado sunshine and mild temps. Post holiday season and New Year’ s rush around here, it is time for the brief bit of respite we get in our tourism based town during the winter season, as Martin Luther King holiday ushers in the remainder of the busy season until Easter time.

CBMG Guide Ian Hatchett

So some of us guides and locals alike have taken a quick opportunity to get out and trade our typical winter freezer burn for a mid-winter sunburn, and enjoy some Crested Butte backcountry skiing  through sunglasses instead of goggles.

Chris Benson...local ski patrolman & ski tech extraordinaire

Snow is in the distant forecast for the end of next week, but in the meantime “We’re Out There”  enjoying the warm weather, a mostly stable snowpack, and some great powder skiing.

Ski model & extreme ski coach Maeve Nevins

Don’t miss out, come enjoy the mid-winter defrost with us and experience now backcountry skiing  under bluebird skies and bright Colorado sunshine.
