Ice Season is on!!

After almost a month of above average temperature hear in the Gunnison valley we are finally back to normal “winter conditions” My buddy Rick and I were fortunate to grab to first 07-08 winter ascent of the classic Sherman climb. The route is in excellent shape for this time of year, with great ice quality on all 4 pitches. There is plenty of ice on the route so a rock rack is not needed. It’s shaping up to be another great winter of climbing in Lake City.
